Verifying Installation

You can verify that Visual Forms has been successfully installed by either making sure the Visual Forms menu item is present in the View menu or by selecting the Help | About menu item and seeing Visual Forms listed in the installed products.

Capturing your first project

To be able to capture your project you must make the Visual Forms window visible. You can do this either by pressing the assigned short cut key (Ctrl+Shift+F12) or selecting the Visual Forms menu item in the View | Visual Forms sub menu.

Once displayed the second command on the toolbar (by default) is the Activate command. For new projects you need to Activate Visual Forms for the project.

Press the Activate button to begin the capture. Depending on how many forms are in your project, activation can take anywhere from 10 seconds to minutes. Some of this time is also due to slowness attributed to the IDE and beyond the control of Visual Forms. You only need to capture a project once.

Once captured you will see a thumbnail representation of your forms. If some of the thumbnails don't look as good as you expected you may need to refer to this support item.
