Capture

Capture Mode

This option defines how captures are keep up to date when changes are made to forms within your project.

Value
Description
Manual
No changes will be made to the projects thumbnails until you choose to use either the Refresh, Refresh All or Capture Form commands.
Automatically update capture when form is saved
Select this option to have your captures updating after they are changed.

Prompt before saving
Enable this option to have a dialog confirm the updating of a newly saved form.
Prompt before overwriting replacements
Enable this option to have a dialog confirm the updating of a form that has previously been manually replaced. The only time a replacement might be overwritten is when using either the Refresh or Refresh All commands.
NOTE: A replacement is never overwritten when you just save a modification to a form.

Force screen capture

Some forms may not capture well using the default capture method. This is especially evident with some third party components. Enable this option to perform a screen capture of the form.

Performing a screen capture does have disadvantages though. One is that you must make sure that no other windows are obscuring the designer and also that non visible parts of the form being captured will not be captured correctly.
